WATERLOO—The 靠谱买球app推荐 commencement ceremony is set for Friday, May 3, at 7:00pm. The ceremony will be held at the McLeod Center on the 北爱荷华大学 campus, 位于哈德逊道2501号, 雪松瀑布. The event recognizes fall 2023, spring 2024, and summer 2024 graduates.
Keynote speaker will be Quentin Hart, mayor of the City of 滑铁卢. Hart is the first African American elected to the office of mayor for the City of 滑铁卢. 选举前, Hart was the associate director of multicultural affairs for 靠谱买球app推荐, providing leadership for multicultural initiatives and promoting awareness and appreciation for diversity on campus and the community. In the eight years preceding his election, Hart represented the citizens of 滑铁卢 as Ward 4 Councilman and was the first African American-appointed Mayor Pro-Tem for the City of 滑铁卢.
学生 speakers will be Lisa Ellingworth of Waverly and Alina Brühlmeier from Berne, Switzerland. Ellingworth will graduate this spring with an Associate of Applied 艺术 in 专业摄影, while Brühlmeier will graduate with an Associate of 艺术 in 文科.
